Follow these steps to install Jenny Mod on Minecraft Java Edition using Forge.

Download Minecraft Forge

Visit the official Minecraft Forge website and download the installer for version 1.12.2. This is the mod loader that allows Jenny Mod to run. Make sure to download the "Installer" version, not the "Universal" version.

Install Minecraft Forge

Run the downloaded Forge installer. Select "Install Client" and click OK. The installer will automatically set up Forge in your Minecraft directory. You need to have launched Minecraft 1.12.2 at least once before installing Forge.

Download Jenny Mod

Go to our download page and click the "Download Java Edition" button. Save the .jar file to a location you can easily find, such as your Desktop or Downloads folder.

Locate Your Mods Folder

Open your Minecraft installation directory. On Windows, press Win+R, type %appdata%\.minecraft\mods and press Enter. On Mac, go to ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods. If the "mods" folder doesn't exist, create it.

Place the Mod File

Copy or move the downloaded Jenny Mod .jar file into the mods folder. Do not extract or unzip the file — it needs to remain as a .jar file.

Launch and Play

Open the Minecraft Launcher. Select the "Forge 1.12.2" profile from the dropdown menu at the bottom and click Play. Jenny Mod will load automatically. Create a new world and enjoy your new companions!

Bedrock Edition

Installing Jenny Mod on mobile is even easier. No additional tools required.

Download the .mcpack File

Visit our download page and tap the "Download Bedrock Edition" button. The .mcpack file will download to your device.

Open with Minecraft

Tap the downloaded .mcpack file in your file manager or notification bar. Select "Open with Minecraft" when prompted. The game will launch and automatically begin importing the mod.

Activate the Addon

Create a new world or edit an existing one. Go to Resource Packs or Behavior Packs in the world settings. Find Jenny Mod in the list and activate it.

Start Playing

Save your world settings and launch the world. Jenny Mod characters will now appear in your Minecraft Bedrock world. Enjoy!

Troubleshooting Tips

Having issues? Check these common solutions.

Mod Not Loading (Java Edition)

Make sure you installed Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2 specifically, not a different version.
Verify the .jar file is in the correct mods folder and hasn't been extracted.
Check that you selected the Forge profile in the Minecraft Launcher before clicking Play.
Try allocating more RAM to Minecraft (at least 4 GB) in the launcher settings.

Mod Not Importing (Bedrock)

Make sure Minecraft Bedrock Edition is installed and updated to the latest version.
Try opening the .mcpack file from your file manager instead of the browser download notification.
On iOS, use the Files app to locate the download and tap "Open in Minecraft."
Restart Minecraft and check if the addon appears in your world settings.

General Tips

Always backup your worlds before installing any mod.
If your antivirus blocks the download, temporarily disable it, download the file, then re-enable.

Do I need Minecraft Forge to use Jenny Mod?
